【Summary】：On April 21st, rubber fenders and mooring bollards supplied by JIER Marine for ABU QIR MARINE PORT CONTAINER TERMINAL PROJECT were all delivered.
Thirty kilometers away from the east of Alexandria, Abu Qir Marine Port Container Terminal is located in Abu Qir Marine Port, with the total length of 1270.6m and a total construction area of about 600,000 square meters. The project owners are EGYPTIAN NAVY AUTHORITY and HUTCHISON PORTS, one of the most famous port operators in the world who is very strict in high quality supplying and supplier audit.
All JIER Marine factory and JIER Marine fenders are approved by Bureau Veritas to PIANC 2002. Moreover, JIER Marine also has CE Factory Approval Certificate of Welded Steel Structural Fabrication for Marine Onshore System. As a result, JIER Marine can successfully pass the strict supplier audit of HUTCHISON PORTS ABU QIR. During the project, JIER Marine kept communications with owner representatives, engineering team and the contractor team in order to learn more about the customers’ requirements and provide them with high-quality JCO1600H super cone fenders to replace SCN1600H cone fenders, JDA-B500x2000 super arch fenders to replace ANP500 arch fenders, 200 tons of Cast Iron Tee Head Bollards, gangway ladders, mooring rings and other marine steel structures.
On February 25th, the contractor team and engineering representatives visited JIER Marine’s factory. The manager of JIER Marine accompanied them to visit the factory and physical laboratory, which made them know more about our rigid requirements and normative process for strict quality control of raw materials and products. We introduced multiple rubber fenders and mooring bollards as well as some accessories produced by the factory, showing our reliable production ability.
JIER Marine attaches great importance to the control of product quality. The contractor team and consultant engineering representatives witnessed a third-party inspection by Bureau Veritas, SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. They inspected the tensile strength, elongation at break, abrasion resistance, compression set and other inspections of the rubber materials used in JCO1600H, JDA-B500x2000 and made strict inspections of steel panels, chains, brackets and related accessories, such as dimension inspection, visual inspection, paint thickness inspection, HDG thickness inspection, etc. What attracted the project department team and engineering representatives mostly were the compression shear tests according to PIANC 2002. During the tests, the contractor team and engineering representatives recorded the whole process by videos and photos. They also checked the recovery of compressed fenders and their appearance after compression shear tests. All fenders and other products passed the tests with PIANC 2002 standards. After all inspections, Bureau Veritas, SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. issued professional inspection reports, so that customers could have a comprehensive understanding of rubber fender system’s performance and quality along with the mooring bollard system.
JIER Marine won this significant overseas project from CCCC online bidding system in Sep 2022. We delivered all rubber fenders and mooring bollards on time and propelled the project successfully. The owner, consultant engineering representatives and CHINA HARBOUR ENGINEERING COMPANY EGYPT all praised JIER Marine for its excellent performance.
